I was born and raised in Vancouver, where for three generations my family has run a local business, immersing me in business from an early age.
In 2007 I received my Certified General Accountant designation, graduating as a one of CGA BC’s Top 10 students.
Prior to starting my accounting practice, I gained extensive experience working as Controller for two privately owned local companies, as well as running my own retail service business in downtown Vancouver. This provided me with valuable insight into understanding the needs of small businesses.
I also spent 14 years as a senior financial analyst for the RCMP, where I worked on major projects including the Pacific Region head quarters relocation, and Vancouver 2010 Olympics Integrated Security Unit, and managing the operating finances for a real estate portfolio of over 800 sites across BC/Yukon.
All this experience has enabled me to provide small businesses and their owners with comprehensive accounting and bookkeeping services, including tax preparation and planning, consulting and more.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my fiancee, Bonnie, and my two daughters. I keep active, and enjoy the great outdoors by jogging, playing hockey, kayaking, hiking, camping, boating, skiing and travelling. In 2014, I proudly completed two Tough Mudders (London UK and Temecula CA), and plan to do more in the future.
